This is the first in what I hope to be many reviews on games that will run on the aspire one, or other netbooks with similar stats. You should expect to find a couple things in these videos: a little gameplay, system requirements, a close up of the Fraps framerate, and some excuse as to why the footage was so shoddy. Heh. Keep in mind, that all these tests will be done on an aoa-150 with 1.5gb of ram. I am running vista ultimate vlited.
So up first, we have Spore. This game seems to be fairly fun. I have gotten to the civilized age for my creatures, which can only be described as ebil alien frogmen. muwuhahaha.
Req. system specs: (from spore's official site)
FOR WINDOWS XP
* 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
* 512 MB RAM
* A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
* At least 4 GB of hard drive space, with at least 1 GB additional space for creations.
FOR WINDOWS VISTA
* 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
* 768 MB RAM
* A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
* At least 4 GB of hard drive space, with at least 1 GB additional space for creations.
For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game requires at least:
* Intel Integrated Chipset, 945GM or above.
* 2.6 GHz Pentium D CPU, or 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent.
* 768 MB RAM
All in all, I have to say that the AA1 puts my bigger computer (2.3ghz Athlon 64) to shame. Definitely playable.

I just started spore on my AA1 with the default XP install and 1 gig of RAM - so far it's decent but not great, doesn't seem as responsive as yours - how did it perform in the later parts of the game? any chance you could do a more complete review of spore performance on the AA1?
